We compare prices, coverage, cancellation terms and the fine print. Where we can, we test things ourselves on real trips; where we can't, we rely on data and reviews.
From all the options we keep a single "our pick" — the one we would genuinely book ourselves. The rest appear in a comparison table for full transparency.
Prices and terms change. If something is no longer the best, we change our recommendation — we don't leave the one that happens to suit us.
We earn through affiliate links: when you book through certain ones, the service pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. However, commission size does not determine our pick.
If a service offering a higher payout gives you worse terms, it will not become our "pick". This is a matter of principle: a guide people stop trusting is a guide people stop reading — and at that point affiliate programmes are worthless anyway.
